12. Aaron Gordon

Ever since Aaron Gordon won the Slam Dunk Contest should have won the Slam Dunk Contest, he put the world on notice about his otherworldly leaping abilities. But truth be told, Gordon’s skill set extends far beyond that, and those who have been watching the Orlando Magic over the last few weeks are starting to take notice as well.

Since the start of February, Gordon is up to 29.7 minutes per game, averaging 10.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks. Though he’s only made 25.9 percent of his 2.6 three-point attempts per game in that span, he’s also shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and has largely impressed as a starter.

At only 20 years old, the future is exceedingly bright for this two-way player who has the potential to spread the floor, attack the basket and yes, throw down monstrous dunks from time to time. The Channing Frye trade itself was poorly executed, but his departure will allow Gordon to flourish for the rest of the season.
