Brooklyn Nets

Trade Into The Draft (Somehow)

The Brooklyn Nets sit at 9-23, giving them the third worst record in the NBA. More than likely, they won’t have a first round draft pick until 2019, and they have an outgoing second rounder through 2020.

They have no hope of rebuilding through the draft and no free agent is going to willingly join such a hopeless situation once every team has extra cap space lying around.

No offense to Brook Lopez and the underrated Thaddeus Young, but they aren’t attracting free agents either. At this point, the Nets are better off having a fire sale to get rid of anything that might net them a first round draft pick in return.
