5. Kobe Bryant on Dwight Howard

Have Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard ever been friends?

They say time heals all wounds, but maybe not. Players rarely forget critical moments in their rookie season, whether they’re on the glorifying or embarrassing side. Howard credited the moment Bryant dunked on him as the first time he’d been dunked on in his life. Perhaps that was the start of bad blood between the two.

Bryant beats his man off the first step and oddly Howard just stands near the rim. He doesn’t put his hands up, and he decides not to challenge Bryant at the rim. It’s almost as if he wanted to be jammed on.

Excellent help defense Pat Garrity.
