20. Scott Skiles – 1990 Regular Season

It takes a good night from someone to be talking about a game featuring two sub-.220 teams more than 20 years later. This certainly was a good night for Magic point guard Scott Skiles, as he racked up a mind-boggling 30 assists in a 155-115 win.

This mark set an NBA record that still stands today, as he just nudged the previous record of 29 set in 1978 by Kevin Porter.

Skiles also added 22 points and six rebounds in his 44 minutes.

Most recently, the closest any active player has gotten to this record is Rajon Rondo with 24 back in 2010.
