By Sam Richmond
May 24, 2012 — Miami Heat at Indiana Pacers
41 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists in 39 minutes
The Indiana Pacers gave Miami a fantastic run for its money in the 2012 Eastern Conference Semifinals and had a chance on their home floor to force a Game 7.
But Wade is known as a “closer” for a reason.
The Heat star poured in 41 points with 10 rebounds and three assists, helping the Heat reach its second straight conference finals. Wade broke out his full offensive arsenal in the contest, knocking down mid-range jumpers, getting points off post-ups and and attacking the basket.
With Chris Bosh injured and unavailable for the game, Wade’s great performance was especially crucial in helping Miami escape Indiana with a series win.
It capped off a remarkable three-game stretch for Wade and teammate LeBron. After Miami fell down 2-1 in the series, Wade posted 99 points, 22 rebounds and 11 assists while James posted 98 points, 34 rebounds and 24 assists in the next three games to give the Heat a 4-2 series win.
