Dwyane Wade: The 10 Best Games Of His Career
By Sam Richmond
Feb. 28, 2009 — New York Knicks at Miami Heat
46 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in 41 minutes
It’s hard to get more heroic in a regular season game than Wade was in this February 2009 contest against the New York Knicks.
The Heat entered the fourth quarter down 98-83. Then, Wade took over, scoring 24 points in the game’s final 12 minutes to help Miami pull off an incredible 120-115 win. He scored his 24 points on 11 attempts from the field in the quarter while the Knicks scored 17 on 22 attempts.
In the Heat’s game-changing 19-0 run, Wade scored 15 points.
Also, for much of the fourth-quarter comeback, Wade was dealing with a bloody lip that needed to be stitched up after the game because he took a elbow in the face courtesy of Danillo Galinari.
Wade finished the game with 46 points while shooting 16-for-29 from the field, 2-for-3 from three and 12-for-12 from the line. He also added 10 assists.
Wade was simply magnificent.
