4. Marcus Smart – Boston Celtics/PG

Last Week: No. 4

The Boston Celtics now are in shambles and are playing so inconsistent. Their players are starting to catch the effects of their inconsistency and rookies are always going to suffer more since they don’t know how to handle the league yet.

Point guard Marcus Smart has had his share of difficult moments this week, but still manages to play better as he gets more games under his belt. Against the Houston Rockets Smart had a terrible game. In 11 minutes he had two points, one rebound, one assist and two turnovers.

This week that was the only bad game he played. Smart managed to bounce back  against the Dallas Mavericks scoring seven points, grabbing six rebounds, dishing out three assists, getting one steal and one block. The Celtics even showed off their three-guard lineup with Smart, Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo.

The three-headed monster nearly gave the Celtics a win against the Mavericks when they were down huge most of the game.

In addition, against the Toronto Raptors, Smart scored 12 points and shot 42 percent from the 3-point line. When Smart becomes a consistent shooter, he’s going to become a problem for guards. Until then, keep getting better sir.
