Brooklyn Nets: 5 Games To Watch This Season
Cleveland At Brooklyn Dec. 8
LeBron James makes his first appearance at the Barclays Center back as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers the second week of December. James hasn’t had the much success, in terms of team record against Brooklyn, but individually it’s a whole different story.
Bron-Bron averaged 28 points, seven boards and six assists against the Nets last season. It will take much more team defense to slow down King James after the losses of Pierce and Livingston, not to mention the supporting cast of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. One would imagine Jack would take Kyrie, Joe Johnson would check LeBron and a combination of Mirza Teletovic and Mason Plumlee would defend Love.
I see Brook Lopez as the Nets’ only notable offensive performer here, having a field day in his individual matchups.
With that being said, I won’t count Brooklyn out but don’t expect a thoroughly competitive affair when these two teams get together.
