Daily NBA Fix 2-3-14: Rajon Rondo Looks Like Rajon Rondo
By Phil Watson
BOSTON CELTICS 96, Orlando Magic 89
Rajon Rondo played a big role in helping Boston break a four-game losing streak, but for Rondo, it was his first appearance in a Boston victory since Jan. 14, 2013—he sat out the Celtics’ last victory as coach Brad Stevens has been resting Rondo on the second night of back-to-backs at this point in his comeback from ACL surgery. The Celtics took an early lead and never looked back and Rondo helped seal the deal with six fourth-quarter assists. Jared Sullinger had 21 points and 12 boards for Boston, Rondo finished with 19 points, 10 dimes and three steals, Brandon bass also scored 19 points and Avery Bradley added 17. For Orlando, Arron Afflalo had 18 points and Glen Davis scored 15, while Nikola Vucevic had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
