Daily NBA Fix 1-25-14: Heroics Abound, But Carmelo Anthony Steals The Show

Kyle Lowry finished with 18 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds for the fourth triple-double of his career and DeMar DeRozan scored 34 points as the Raptors beat the Sixers. It was a big night for Lowry, a Philadelphia native who starred at Villanova. Michael Carter-Williams had 20 points for the Sixers, Hollis Thompson scored 15 off the bench and Spencer Hawes had a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.
ORLANDO MAGIC 114, Los Angeles Lakers 105
Tobias Harris grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds as the Magic surprised the Lakers, adding 28 points. Arron Afflalo had 23 points, Jameer Nelson went for 22 and rookie Victor Oladipo had 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Magic put together a late surge to put away L.A., outscoring the Lakers 59-40 over the final 21 minutes. Pau Gasol had 21 points and 11 boards for the Lakers, Kendall Marshall had 19 points and 14 assists, Jodie Meeks scored 17 points, Nick Young added 16 and Ryan Kelly tossed in 15.
