With the hype of the 2019 NBA offseason dying down after a crazy past few weeks, let’s review the Milwaukee Bucks’ recent flurry of moves.

Now that the Fourth of July holiday is firmly in the rear view mirror, NBA free agency has slowed from its crazy-fast pace to a much slower one over the last couple weeks. Teams are busy rounding out their rosters with what’s left of the unsigned market while the 2019-20 regular season is merely a few months away. The Milwaukee Bucks are no different.

More from Hoops Habit

Fresh off a 60-win season and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, 2018-19 was a season for the ages in Milwaukee.

Franchise superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo won the league’s Most Valuable Player award and general manager Jon Horst was recognized as the Executive of the Year. The team as a whole experienced great success.

Coming up just short of what would have been the franchise’s first trip to the NBA Finals since 1974, keeping the core of the team intact while finding ways to improve made for an interesting offseason for the Bucks.

Horst was tasked with managing the salary cap while adding pieces that would fit head coach Mike Budenholder’s squad. Doing so would turn out to be easier said than done, but he still made a multitude of solid moves in the process.

Without any picks in this year’s NBA Draft, Milwaukee had its work cut out for it. Being cash-strapped echoed that sentiment even more.

As a whole, though, Horst and company were able to stay busy and put together an intriguing Milwaukee Bucks product ahead of the 2019 season. Let’s take a closer look.
