The Chicago Bulls are poised to enter the 2019 NBA offseason armed with the seventh pick in the draft and over $20 million in cap space. Here are three goals for this summer.

If most NBA fans are being honest, the NBA offseason has turned into their favorite time of year. The drama never ends and NBA Twitter is a must-follow for even the casual observer. For the Chicago Bulls front office, maybe it’s wiser to stay off social media these days. For everyone else, Bulls Twitter is the perfect place to vent, rant and cry about the downtrodden franchise.

This summer, the Bulls front office combination of John Paxson and Gar Forman (GarPax) once again enter the summer festivities with the seventh pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, hoping to either move the pick for a veteran point guard or strike gold with a lead guard more suitable for their desires.

GarPax has made one obvious point perfectly clear: They need more from the point guard position. Kris Dunn hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire since he arrived in the Windy City, and their once-appointed “point guard of the future” Cameron Payne is hanging onto his NBA career by a thread.

Head coach Jim Boylen has the full trust of the front office for now, though we know quickly that trust can evaporate with this group in charge. Boylen’s promotion to the lead chair means he’s Paxson’s fifth head coach since he took over the team, but no one’s really counting, right?

For now, the focus remains on building upon the building blocks already in place. Here are three goals for the Chicago Bulls this offseason.
