With the 2018-19 NBA campaign set to begin next month, let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the Utah Jazz in the upcoming season.
It’s been a relatively quiet offseason for the Utah Jazz. After being ousted in the second round of the playoffs for the second straight season, no major moves were made over the summer to improve the roster. The biggest splash in Salt Lake City this summer was selecting guard Grayson Allen with the 21st overall pick in the NBA Draft.
Although there weren’t many changes to the roster, expectations entering the 2018-19 season are high. The Jazz have one of the most exciting duos in the NBA with Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, and both players are expected to improve on their success last season.
While the franchise will enter the season with championship aspirations, the odds are stacked against them. According to Odds Shark, the Jazz are 75-1 to win it all, placing them behind seven other teams vying for the title.
Championship or not, it’s going to be an exciting season in Salt Lake City. With Mitchell emerging as a superstar in the league, Gobert becoming a force in the paint, and the potential for a trade that could change the landscape of the franchise, there will be plenty to talk about this season.
