The Los Angeles Lakers may have come away with a major steal by drafting the 27th overall pick Kyle Kuzma. Here are five goals for his rookie season.

The Los Angeles Lakers may be in much better shape this upcoming season than originally thought. It’s turning out that the legendary Magic Johnson‘s blueprint to success is already taking on its own shape.

The sense of optimism in Los Angeles was already high with Lonzo Ball being selected. But late in the first round, the Los Angeles Lakers secured two other key pieces for their young core. With the 27th pick that was acquired through the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers chose Kyle Kuzma.

Kyle Kuzma played for three years at Utah in the competitive Pac-12 conference and improved with each passing year.

Standing 6’9″, Kuzma is a gifted wing who is incredibly athletic and nimble for a player of his size at the forward position. Through his college career he averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 21 minutes per game, shooting 50.1 percent from the field.

Statistically he does not quite pop off the page, but he has plenty of upside if he is developed properly among fellow first round draftees Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart.

Here are five goals for Kyle Kuzma’s rookie season that should lead the way for a successful 2017-18 campaign.
