The Los Angeles Lakers have had quite the offseason, and Josh Hart is one of the most important additions to their roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers may not have had the closest look at Josh Hart during 2017 NBA Summer League play, but it is very likely they have a good idea of what they are looking to get out of the former Villanova Wildcats star.

Hart was selected by the Utah Jazz and than acquired by the Lakers as the 30th overall pick in the recent 2017 NBA Draft.

It’s not often you find a player who has as much class off the court as he does talent on it. While he received numerous accolades, including the 2016-17 Senior Class Award winner for NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball, Big East Player of the Year and the Julius Erving Award, Hart remains an inspiring and humble athlete.

His senior year stats at Villanova are a cut above your average guard coming into the NBA. He is a solid player on both ends of the court as his toughness and hustle should serve him well in the future. Josh Hart shot 51.1 percent from the field and 38.9 from beyond the arc, averaging 18.7 points per game his senior year.

While teammate Lonzo Ball was the talk of the town, suddenly becoming “Mr. Triple-Double” of Summer League, Hart did not make an appearance in the team’s last six games.

Josh Hart missed this time due to a sprained ankle. Over his two appearances, he averaged 10.0 points per game and shot 38.1 percent from the field.

Here are some goals Josh Hart should keep in mind as he heads into his rookie year for the Los Angeles Lakers.
