The Los Angeles Clippers could make a splash or two during 2017 NBA free agency by targeting these stars — that is, if we lived in a dream world where salary caps didn’t exist.

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently at a crossroads. With a number of difficult decisions facing them this offseason, this roster could look very different in a short amount of time. As some of you can probably infer, that may not be a good thing for this franchise’s future.

With their top-two players slated for free agency, the Clippers could watch their stars head for greener pastures. Their championship window is quickly closing, and it’s not like they’ve looked that competitive in past seasons. In fact, they haven’t made it past the second round of the playoffs despite six straight postseason appearances.

Realistically, if anyone leaves, the Clippers will be headed back toward the middle of the pack in the West. If that’s the case, they might simply decided to sell off some pieces and begin the rebuilding process. Either that, or they could just go out and spend big during 2017 free agency.

But who could they sign to fix this aging roster?

There are a number of exciting big-name free agents set to be available this offseason. However, most will likely cost an arm and a leg, and may not even be interested in joining the Clippers. In this exercise, though, money doesn’t matter. Instead, this is all about imaging a dream situation in which Los Angeles could sign whoever it wanted.
