The Philadelphia 76ers have quite a few second round picks to work with in the 2017 NBA Draft. If they play their cards right, they could get a solid prospect in return.

The 2017 NBA Draft class is full of talent from top-to-bottom — so much so that the Philadelphia 76ers may not fret much when it comes to the 39th selection in the draft. Whether they keep or trade their 36th pick makes this selection a few picks later an intriguing one.

The Sixers are almost on the path out of the draft lottery every year, but they still have to use their picks. However, this could be another draft where teams are drafting and stashing picks in the second round.

Considering how deep this class is, trading away more than one pick isn’t guaranteed for Philadelphia. This year’s draft class is loaded with productive wings and players who can play inside and out and possibly contribute right away in a reserve role for the Sixers.

Philadelphia is a team in need a versatile big man that can carry the team in spurts off the bench. With the 39th pick, they could draft a prospect to fill that void. When they had the 37th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the team drafted current center Richaun Holmes. Let’s see if they follow this model again.

It wouldn’t hurt, considering the burden they’re looking to place on forward Ben Simmons. They’ll need to put other players around him who know their role as well.

Here are five potential picks the Philadelphia could make with the 39th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
