San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard is in the midst of the best offensive stretch of his career, making him a prime candidate for any FanDuel NBA roster.

The NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year in each of the past two seasons has developed into one of the most dynamic offensive threats in the league.

The emergence of Kawhi Leonard as an elite scorer, as he is one of 11 players scoring 25 or more points per game this season, has even led to Isiah Thomas, a member of the league’s Hall of Fame, anointing him as the league MVP.

High praise for Leonard has come as the result of his ability to produce 25.5 points per game without inhibiting the free-flowing offense in San Antonio.

Leonard is seeking to become only the 14th player in league history to average at least 25 points per game while taking fewer than 18 shots a night, a feat only matched by the Golden State duo of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry this season.

The 25.5 points per game from Leonard have come on just 17.3 shot attempts per game. While he doesn’t shoot in bulk, Leonard rarely misses.

The 6-foot-7 forward is threatening to join the impressive 50-40-90 club, as he is connecting on 48.7 percent of his attempts from the field, 40.6 percent of his shots from three-point range and has converted 90.5 percent of his free throws.

For Leonard to generate his point total, he routinely has to beat his defender off the dribble.

Nylon Calculus points out Leonard has managed to thrive creating his own shot, with 53.1 percent of his total shots made this season have come without an assist.

Over the past 10 games, Leonard has been perhaps the most dominant scorer in the league, totaling 30 or more points on seven occasions.

In each of his past 10 games, Leonard has registered at least 35 points in FanDuel NBA tournament play while averaging 31.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

The consistent production in multiple categories makes Leonard an ideal foundational piece for any FanDuel NBA roster for Saturday night.
