John Wall is out to prove himself as the franchise player for the Washington Wizards during his seventh season in the league and FanDuel NBA players should tag along for the ride.

Even with three All-Star appearances, a selection to the All-NBA Defensive Second Team and the second highest assist average among active players in the league, Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is out to prove himself.

The best way for Wall to silence his critics is to maintain his production rate, but on a successful team.

Washington has dropped each of its first three games, despite Wall being the only player in the league averaging at least 20 points, 10 assists and 2.5 steals per game during the early portion of the season.

Wall ranks second in assists (11.3 per game), is tied for fifth in steals (2.7) while scoring over 20 points per game — a feat he has yet to accomplish in his career — this season.

The lofty assist and steal averages are nothing new for Wall, as he has dished out 9.0 assists per game since being selected with the first overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft. That’s second-most among active players in the league and his 1.7 steals per game are the seventh-most among current players.

The only glaring omission from Wall’s resume is team success, a problem that has long plagued the franchise.

The Wizards haven’t posted a 50-win season in three decades and are off to a rough start, considering their defensive rating of 113.3 is the worst in the league this season.

The best chance the team has is to latch onto its three-time All-Star point guard.

Washington is completely reliant on Wall, as he has accounted for 46.9 percent of the total points scored by the team this season.

The passing of Wall is generating 25.3 points per game, second-most in the NBA this season, and he is averaging 22.3 points per game. Wall has either scored or assisted on 143 of the 305 points the Wizards have scored.

The Wizards are still searching for their first victory of the season and Wall is desperate to prove he can turn the franchise into a winner.
