After suffering a historic meltdown during the 2016 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors went out and secured the prize of free agency. It’s clear they don’t plan on returning to irrelevance anytime soon, as expectations are sky high for this squad in 2016-17.

While the presence of Kevin Durant obviously raises the stakes, the Warriors were loaded even before his arrival. The trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green is part of why Golden State has played in the last two NBA Finals, after all.

Regardless, the 2016-17 season should be overflowing with intrigue for this Warriors team — that’s saying a lot considering the ridiculous success they enjoyed last season.

That’s why I’ve put together this list of “bold” predictions for the Warriors’ 2016-17 campaign. They’re meant to be a bit outside the box, so make sure to not take them all too seriously. It’s only August, and there’s still a lot of basketball left to be played before the regular season tips off.
