There is plenty of star power on the NBA free agency market this summer, but who are the best options in the group of players with something to prove?

The beginning of the 2016 NBA free agency period is now just a few hours away.

There are many hot names hitting the open market this summer, from Kevin Durant and Al Horford to Dwight Howard and Dirk Nowitzki, there is no shortage of big names actively looking for a big pay day in our latest edition of NBA free agency.

However, for every star on the market, there is a player available this summer with something to prove.

Whether it be through injury, or simply a down year statistically, there are plenty of free agents with down value who have the potential to make a difference with new deals that they receive.

While a given player’s stock can be low due to elements listed above, that does not necessarily mean that the individual will not receive a big pay day.
