While teams are making their final analyses of prospects in preparation for the 2016 NBA Draft, there may not be any player in the field more intriguing and more questionable than Canadian prep star Thon Maker.

It’s evident from the tape alone that Maker has as much potential as anyone in the draft.

He has a decent enough handle and outside shooting stroke to hold his own on the perimeter while also possessing the length, athleticism and flat-out motor to bang in the paint as well.

Add on the fact that he has the makings of a tremendous rim protector and rebounder on both ends and you have a prospect reminiscent of a young Kevin Garnett coming out of Farragut Academy in Chicago.

While Maker definitely possesses the raw talent to become a position-transcending player in a league where their limitations are dissolving by the minute, he is still just that — a raw talent that needs to fall to the right team with the right system to maximize his wide array of skills.

Since most mocks currently project Maker to go in the late first round to early second round, here are five teams in that draft range that will likely take a look at selecting the prep phenom and would be good fits for him.
