The Denver Nuggets find themselves in the exact same position they were in a year ago. They selected Emmanuel Mudiay with the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, and all things considered it worked out pretty well.

Mudiay had some turnover issues and his shooting is still a work in progress, but he did enough to prove he is a player to build around.

Denver also had another rookie last year by the name of Nikola Jokic. Jokic finished third in Rookie of the Year voting behind only Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis, which is pretty good company.

Jokic made the NBA All-Rookie First Team and Mudiay made the All-Rookie Second Team, so the Nuggets have gotten off to a good start in the rebuilding process. But they still have keep making the right moves. Having three top 20 picks in the 2016 draft certainly doesn’t hurt.

Denver obviously has a lot to work with in this year’s draft, but this article is going to focus on the first of those three picks, No. 7 overall. The only thing we know right now is Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, and probably Buddy Hield will all be gone by No. 7.

Other than that, everything is on the table. With that said, here are the Nuggets’ three best options for their seventh overall pick.
