The NBA Playoffs bring all the pressures of being under a microscope. Instead of 12 games a night, there are only one or two. The entire world tunes in to watch a handful of players ply their craft. If a player makes a mistake, misses a shot or is late to a rotation, it’s replayed over and over for days.

The NBA playoffs also bring all of the opportunities of undivided attention. For those players entering free agency, this is a perfect opportunity for the entire league to see how good they are. For every shot made or blocked, every pass thrown or stolen, there is a chance to add numbers and years to a future contract.

For some players, it’s the difference between a minimum contract and a guaranteed salary. For others, it’s the final step into the realm of a max contract.

While so many pending free agents competed during the first two rounds, five stand out from the conference finals in terms of increasing their earning potential this summer.
