The Toronto Raptors are in the home stretch prior to the playoffs. Already with a franchise-best 49 wins, they are on the verge of the team’s first-ever 50-win season and are in a prime position to potentially make some noise in the playoffs.

Finishing strong can mean different things to different teams. For franchises like the San Antonio Spurs, they are battle tested and know what it takes to get it done in the playoffs. So they are willing and able to rest players down the stretch and have confidence in themselves, no matter how the final 10 games go. Finishing strong means staying healthy for them.

For the Toronto Raptors, there are a few things they need to focus on prior to the playoffs if they want the best possible chance of making a run. The Eastern Conference may not contain as many contenders as the West, but the second tier of teams is deep and there is a potential for tons of parity in the East playoffs.

It seems unlikely at this point that the Raptors will finish anywhere other than with the second seed, so with that in mind, we’ll look at three keys for the team for the rest of the season.
