Ti’s Four-Point Play: The Four Biggest NBA All Star Snubs
By Ti Windisch
This issue of Ti’s Four-Point Play covers four players who deserved to make the NBA All Star game but missed out due to stiff competition.
One of the sad parts of the popularity contest aspect of the NBA All-Star game is that it usually leaves some deserving players on the outside looking in. Players like Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony get spots, even though there are strong cases for lesser known players getting the honor of being an All-Star.
This issue of Ti’s Four-Point Play is dedicated to those guys, the fringe players who might never make an All-Star team despite being incredibly talented. There are a lot of them, but these four stand tall above the rest.
Only one of the four players snubbed this season has been an All-Star in the past, and all of them are at least 25. Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis may have had All-Star arguments, but it’s hard to call a rookie a snub.
This group is all veteran players who are known around the NBA, and who should’ve been at least considered for an All-Star spot. We’ll start with the biggest snub and work down from there, meaning the last player listed had the weakest case out of the four.
