Colby Giacubeno and Shane Young continue their weekly podcast with a great slate of subjects covering All-Star selections, Jeff Teague trade rumors, and reaction to Myles Turner’s play.

In our weekly podcast, Shane Young and I discuss the All-Star rosters for both the East and the West. In regards to the Eastern Conference, the roster was pretty easy to predict. There wasn’t many snubs that made it to the forefront, although Kemba Walker had a very fair argument. Did John Wall really deserve his spot on the roster?

For the Western Conference, there were a couple of arguments that could be made for players who weren’t chosen for the final 12-man roster. One player who has been the topic of the “All-Star snub” discussion was Damian Lillard. After his team lost four of the five starters in the offseason including LaMarcus Aldridge, he is still managing to make Portland respectable and keep them in the playoff picture with the eighth seed. We all know Kobe Bryant was voted since it is his last season, not because of his below-average numbers. If that’s the case, was it wrong that Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki weren’t included?

We also talk about the rumors of the Atlanta Hawks shopping point guard Jeff Teague. Two teams that could really use his services are the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz. Could Teague help bolster their playoff chances?

Indiana Pacers’ rookie Myles Turner has been promoted to the starting lineup recently, which is a good sign for his progression as an NBA big man. Along with Paul George, Turner could be looked at as the future of the franchise in Indiana. Will he be able to continue his high-level of play and make the Pacers a more dangerous team once the playoff roll around?
