The Boston Celtics are currently on a four-game win streak, winning seven out of their last nine games.

A couple weeks ago, the Boston Celtics were slumping, as losers of five out of six games to start 2016. After losing on Jan. 12 to the New York Knicks, the Celtics have been on a roll. They have won seven out of their last nine games and one of their losses was in overtime against the Dallas Mavericks. This team is starting to find out how to win games in multiple ways, which makes them a very dangerous Eastern Conference team.

The Celtics are continuing to be an elite defensive team by posting a defensive rating of 101.3 (No. 2 in the NBA) and they are forcing 16.5 turnovers per game (No. 1 in the NBA). During their recent four-game win streak the Celtics have forced over 20 turnovers in each contest, and they have won every game by at least eight points or more. The Celtics have also scored at least 103 points in their last nine games, and the team is currently 13th in the NBA in offensive rating (105.4) and sixth in the NBA in PPG (104.4 PPG).

Boston is making a name for themselves on both ends of the floor and they are doing all of this without a so-called superstar. Isaiah Thomas is the closest thing the team has to a star, and he has been terrific this year, but he has not been the only bright spot for the team. Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley have been great this season and they have been really good during the past five games. Crowder is averaging 13.6 PPG and he is shooting over 40 percent from deep over the past five games and Bradley is averaging 19.4 PPG and he is also shooting over 40 percent from deep.

More from Boston Celtics

Thomas, Bradley, and Crowder have turned into an explosive trio for the Celtics. Crowder and Bradley have been known for their defense for their career, but now both of them have become reliable scoring options on the Celtics. This team has had its up and downs this season, but right now they are rolling on both ends of the floor, especially the offensive end.

Can The Celtics Make It Five Straight?

The Celtics next game is at home against the super athletic Orlando Magic on Friday. Boston lost on the road earlier in the season to the Magic by 19 points, and this is why Celtics should not take this game lightly. The Celtics were on a the cusp of winning five games in a row in late December, but they failed to get a win at home against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics let their foot off the gas a little bit the last time they had a shot at winning five games in a row, and the team should not let this happen against the Magic.

Many people thought the Celtics should have hit the panic button after their bad start to 2016, but now the Celtics have shown that there is no reason to panic. It has just taken a little time for players on the team to figure out their roles, and now Boston is rolling as one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference.
