Greatness is a hard thing to define, but an easy thing to recognize. In the NBA, the teams with the most wins are usually great. This season that’s certainly the case — the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are both great teams.

But they’re great in different ways. That got me thinking about different facets of NBA greatness to cover in this week’s issue of Ti’s Four-Point Play. The four facets of greatness I’ll focus on this week are offense, defense, rebounding and pace.

Pace may not seem like it belongs with the others, but being able to play at a higher speed than every other team certainly carries some advantages. It may not translate directly to wins like the other three facets have this season, but this is Ti’s Four-Point Play, not Ti’s Three-Point Play. So the fastest team gets celebrated too.

But not until the end. First up is the greatest offensive team in the NBA this season, followed by the best defense, the best rebounding team, and then the fastest team last, ironically.
