Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Houston Rockets are active on the NBA trade market. This time around, Houston may not be the buyers.

The Houston Rockets are in the process of redefining the phrase, “Consistent.” Houston is 21-20 through 41 games, and reached that point with four losing streaks of at least three games and four winning streaks of the same.

In an attempt to eradicate the former and illuminate the latter, Houston is pondering a fire sale.

When it comes to executing trades, Daryl Morey is one of the most unapologetically aggressive general managers in the NBA. Key trades during his tenure include the move for James Harden, under-appreciated deals for Corey Brewer and Josh Smith, and the move for Ty Lawson that has yet to pay off.

According to Calvin Watkins of ESPN, Houston’s recent turnaround has not quenched its thirst for a trade.

"Make no mistake, the desire to trade players remains despite the improved record. The Rockets talked to teams about trades regarding forward Terrence Jones and [Corey] Brewer. [Ty] Lawson’s reps sought more playing time elsewhere and there was a report [Dwight] Howard wanted out, something he disputed."

Those are four attractive trade options.

All four have their flaws, but they’d also provide a valuable skill set to a team in need. Not all four are guaranteed to be move, and it’s certainly possible that Morey will refrain from executing a trade, but the market exists for all four players.

The question is, what makes them so valuable and which teams could make sense?
