The nominees for the 2016 Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame class have been announced. Some of the most iconic figures in NBA, WNBA, college and international basketball history have been thrown together as candidates for the sport’s most prolific distinction.

A number of memorable players, coaches and contributors are eligible to be enshrined in 2016. The finalists will be announced at NBA’s All-Star Weekend Feb. 12 in Toronto.

From there, the finalists will be voted on until the inductees are revealed on April 4. The enshrinement festivities will be held between Sept. 8-10.
