The 2015-16 NBA regular season is one of extraordinary expectations. A number of star-caliber players are returning from injury, a new powerhouse will put its championship reign on the line and a slew of on-paper contenders will look to rise to the occasion.

The question is, who will lead their respective teams to the promise land?

Not every team has a superstar, and quite a few depend on depth and balance over an individual’s contributions. Each and every organization has a centerpiece, however, and every coach has a leader on the floor.

In 2015-16, those players will step up and emerge as their respective team’s leading MVP candidate.
