Are the Philadelphia 76ers and GM Sam Hinkie ever in a state where a transaction isn’t on their mind at a point in time? Highly unlikely at this point in year three of a massive overhaul marked by a copious amount of deals. The Sixers are active, but moves can transpire at any point of the year with players believing to be a vital part of the roster’s future.
Thaddeus Young, around this time last year, was jettisoned to Minnesota after dealing with a painful campaign. Jason Thompson headed to the defending champs on July 31 after being acquired by his hometown team. It’s the unpredictability that’s a caveat to covering an exciting organization.

He has his sights on players currently, but plenty reportedly on the market and in precarious situations can be had for prices lower than anticipated and previous value. Whether it be an erroneous fit or failing to meet expectations administered by their respective organizations, other teams are willing to deal high upside talent.
