Now both the text and numbers match in color on their home uniforms after going with red and blue. The text also remains the same as the previous jerseys. They’ve gone with a multiple color look around the edges with three strands instead of two.
Seven stars trickle down the sides with four on the jersey and three on the shorts. The shorts also match the uniforms color pattern presenting a correlating and effective look.
Tying in three generations of Sixers’ uniforms seems to be a hit so far:
No need to imagine what current Sixers will look like come October. Hollis Thompson, Robert Covington and Jerami Grant all sported the newest threads Thursday night. The three young talents featured them admirably as Sixers of the future.
Legends that included Allen Iverson, Moses Malone and World B. Free talked up the past, but also reflected on what this team had to offer with brimming optimism.
The uniforms look like a modernized reflection of the days of dominance, but also provide a glimpse of the promising future this team has to offer. Factor in another franchise changing talent joining the team next Thursday and Philadelphia has plenty of reason’s for excitement as an organization.
