A sound comparison to the state of the Brooklyn Nets would be that of a failing restaurant — although, there may be one or two things that stand out as a positive, the negatives are highly out-weighing, and before long the establishment is sure to incur a consistent stream of substantial losses.

More from Brooklyn Nets

Though, by trading a few of their larger contracts, such as Brook Lopez, the Nets fate/future does not have to be sealed in such impending doom.

Ultimately, what The Brooklyn Nets get in return for their “stars” on the block, will most certainly shape the course for the next few years. In this they basically have two choices; either make sound moves that will not bury them for many years to come, or, just dump salaries in a move to completely rebuild.

As bad as the Nets have been, are, and will be for the rest of the season, it could only be for this campaign if the right moves are made. Recently, the Brooklyn Nets have been deflecting offers, and although I feel they need to choose wisely, they cannot over-value their situation, they need these players off their team/payroll a lot more then the suitors need to attain that specific individual.

So where would be five ideal trade destinations for Brook Lopez that could help brighten the future of the Brooklyn Nets?
