When coming into the last legs of a 12-team or larger redraft fantasy basketball league, the adds you sometimes miss out on can have profound bearing on how your team closes out the season. For those who cannot attain the services of Langston Galloway, you will definitely be lamenting in regret.

If nothing else the New York Knicks have at least found a reliable point guard to roll out there as the barrage of losses continue to pile up when they signed Langston for the remainder of the season after his second 10-day contract.

What that means in terms of fantasy relevance is that the 32 minutes that Galloway has averaged in the last four games is more than likely to remain exactly where it is for the rest of the foreseeable future–isn’t it a great feeling seeing that word [foreseeable] and not having an injury attached to it, I think so!

While I am sure D.J. Augustin is already off the wire in any league where at least half the owners are still paying attention, Galloway can still be had — he is not even owned in 25 percent of leagues on ESPN, but that number is rapidly climbing so you should get to your wire immediately.

Those that watch the D-League remember this game for the Westchester Knicks, where Langston knocked down seven three-pointers against the Delaware 87ers, so those looking for help with the long ball would definitely benefit from his services, especially due to the fact the Knicks are going to need all the help in scoring they can get.

Over the last four games, Galloway is averaging 14.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals,  2.0 three-pointers, on 23/48 shooting from the field – pretty much what any guard delivering middle round value is giving you. not too shabby!

Obviously, the points and trey bombs are a fine asset to acquire, but what I feel deserves the most attention is the propensity for high rebounds at the guard position, and even more so the gaudy field goal percentage. If your guard is putting up PF/C numbers while maintaining all the characteristics of a one or two, it is an extremely relevant advantage over your opponents.

With the rest of your league is looking to add people who are either fill-ins for an off night, or choose to pick up Carlos Boozer because they need extra rebounds, use your wire add for someone who is more than serviceable, has an open window of opportunity, and can remain on your roster for the rest of the season.
