In yet another salary dump by general manager Danny Ainge, the Boston Celtics traded point guard Jameer Nelson to the Denver Nuggets for scorer Nate Robinson. Robinson was a supporting member during the Big 3 era, but his second tenure in Boston is ending before it can begin.

According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, the Celtics will buy out Robinson’s contract.

The question is, which teams should capitalize on this opportunity by signing Robinson?

Robinson may or may not be the player he was in a magical 2012-13 season with the Chicago Bulls. He’s 30 years old and coming off of reconstructive knee surgery, which is especially significant for a 5’9″ point guard.

As a low-cost option to improve a second unit, however, there isn’t much risk involved in giving him a shot. Thus, interest should exist in Robinson as a potentially strong contributor.

Once Robinson is bought out, these teams should pursue him.
