Even the deepest of NBA teams can be fractured by the loss of their most valuable player. That doesn’t necessarily mean the season is lost, nor does it guarantee the MVP of a roster is the proverbial best player, but the loss is impossible to ignore.

With said player, the level of play is elevated to a higher standard and the team increases its viability as a contender. Thus, said athlete enters the conversation for awards and other accolades.

The question is, who are those players?

Some have the gaudy statistics and long list of achievements that constitute being a team’s elite player. Others fly under the radar, but provide an impact that ranges well beyond a stat sheet or box score.

These are the Most Valuable Players from every NBA franchise.
