Golden State Warriors: Final Roster Spot Wanted

The Golden State Warriors are in a unique position entering the 2014-15 season. Projected to be a very good team, the Dubs are just underneath that elite top tier of Western Conference teams, which is currently comprised of the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers. Every player on Golden State’s roster could be crucial come playoff time if this dark horse wants to shock the world and compete for an NBA championship.

In that spirit, head coach Steve Kerr has options for the team’s 15th and final roster spot. The Warriors already have 14 players locked in to contracts who will undoubtedly be on the roster: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, David Lee, Andrew Bogut, Shaun Livingston, Brandon Rush, Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green, Festus Ezeli, Marreese Speights, Leandro Barbosa, Nemanja Nedovic and Ognjen Kuzmic. That leaves Golden State with one remaining spot and five players to choose from.

According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, Kerr is still unsure about how to fill that final roster spot. In fact, Kerr may not even fill it at all, opting instead to keep it open when the regular season starts. With Aaron Craft, Justin Holiday, Jason Kapono, James Michael McAdoo and Mitchell Watt competing for that final roster spot, here’s a look at what each brings to the table.
