The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off of yet another successful season, but once again they felt that they came up short of their potential. They ended up losing to the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals in six games. It wasn’t an embarrassing loss at all, and they played the Spurs very well throughout the course of that entire series.

Kevin Durant is excited about a new season this year after his MVP season last year, and has been working hard to improve this offseason. He was going to take part of Team USA’s FIBA basketball this year, but after Paul George‘s horrific leg break, decided to back off the team and focus on the NBA season. Russell Westbrook dealt with injury issues last season, and has had a full offseason to get healthy and work on improving his game as well.

Needless to say, the Thunder are going to be one of the powerhouse teams in the Western Conference once again. They have added some talent to the roster, and still have Durant, Westbrook, and Serge Ibaka to lead the way for the rest of the squad. It’s going to be very difficult for them to knock off teams like the Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Clippers, but they still have the star power and depth to defeat those teams in a seven-game series.
