As USA Basketball gets set to begin the FIBA World Cup on Saturday, August 30 against Group C foe Finland, we decided to take a look at five teams who could provide the biggest challenge to Team USA’s quest to win the Gold medal.
The main foes, as luck would have it, are not packed into Group C. Only Turkey should provide a small test and even they’ll likely get steamrolled by the USA. Here’s what the schedule looks like for Group play:

Tuesday, September 2 vs. New Zealand
Wednesday, September 3 vs. Dominican Republic
Thursday, September 4 vs. Ukraine
The USA Basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the world and are the reigning FIBA Word Championship winners (2010). The Americans are on a four-event FIBA streak, winning the 2012 Olympic Gold, the aforementioned 2010 FIBA World Championship, the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.
