The FIBA World Cup is set to kick things off in a few days, but until then, we continue to speculate about the upcoming 2014-15 season because we’re NBA fans and we’re bored right now. Heading into a new year of basketball, expectations are either really high or really low for your favorite NBA squad. Will they be contending for a title? Will they be tanking? Will they be competing for a playoff spot? It’s a wide open spectrum.

With that in mind, I’ve got you covered. Whether your team is a title contender or an unabashed tanker for the 2014-15 season, I can think of a reason why your squad matters next year. Ignoring for a second that you probably watch your favorite team because they’re your favorite team, here’s my comprehensive guide to why each and every team in the association is worth your attention next season.
