Unselfishness

Darren Collison is a good point guard, but questions remain over whether he is sufficiently creative or aggressive to be Sacramento’s starter. The Kings don’t lack scorers, as Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins will get their fair share of points every night, but what’s most important is finding a facilitator.

The Kings could do without Gay and Cousins having to wear themselves out creating their own opportunities, and Rondo would definitely prevent that.

Rondo was widely considered to have had a poor season last year, yet in the 30 games he played in, his assist numbers were incredibly impressive. Rondo averaged 9.8 assists per game, and that was the first time in four years that his assist tally had dropped below 11 per game.

Rondo is a creative, pass-first point guard, and bringing him into the mix would give the Kings a completely new look.
