Prior to the summer of 2014, it seemed hyperbolic to say that the events that soon transpired would forever alter the landscape of the NBA. Two months into free agency, it’s safe to say that it wasn’t hyperbole.

Through trades, free agency and the draft, all 30 teams have changed the way we know and recognize them. Some have evolved from afterthoughts into contenders, while others have done the exact opposite.

With all of the madness beginning to settle down, it’s finally becoming possible to evaluate the state of the association. Albeit limited to paper rosters, the NBA is about to undergo an overwhelming change.

At the core of it all will be the rise of new contenders.

The question is, which teams that missed the playoffs in 2013-14 will make it in 2014-15?
