The New Orleans Pelicans are going to be a very intriguing team to keep an eye on this season, and definitely have the talent and potential to make the playoffs if they stay healthy. Anthony Davis will be leading the way once again for them, and he is likely going to be a much improved offensive presence from last season.

Alongside of him, the Pelicans have brought in a ton of talent to support him, and they have the makeup of a very strong defensive and offensive team.

New Orleans finished last in their division last season, compiling a record of just 34-48. There were injury issues throughout the majority of the season, but they were very unhappy with that record due to all of the talent that they brought onto the roster.

It’s going to be very interesting to see what they’re capable of doing when the entire roster is at full health without nagging injuries, and it could very well make them a legitimate playoff contender.

If the Pelicans are going to get into the playoffs, they are going to need two players in particular to step up and play a consistently good season. Both Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon struggled with inconsistency and injuries last season, and it was one of the main reasons that the Pelicans couldn’t finish with a better record.

New Orleans has a very dangerous duo in the backcourt, but they need them healthy and on the court making a difference.

What five bold predictions can be made about the 2014-15 Pelicans?
