While the Boston Celtics may not have found the blockbuster deals they were searching for this off-season, general manager Danny Ainge has continued to add young talent to his roster as he looks to get the Celtics back to the top of the Eastern Conference.
With a successful 2014 draft and some thrifty moves via trade and free agency, the Celtics have a number of new, exciting faces on the roster and the team looks to put a disappointing 2013-14 season behind them. While the team will be hoping to improve on a disappointing 25-57 record, there will also be a number of individuals who have a chance to really contend for the NBA’s end of season awards.
Let’s take a look at each of the NBA’s end of season awards and who would be the Celtic most likely to contend for them. Some are, of course more likely than others, but at this stage of the offseason there is no harm in players, teams or fans having high expectations and young players hoping to write their names into the NBA’s history books.
