Earlier this week, USA basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski led his team to New York where the men’s national team will compete in exhibition games before departing for Spain next Tuesday. During some downtime, Bleacher Report caught up with Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry at the team’s practice facility to discuss an extremely important issue in today’s NBA: who would you roll with in a classic two-on-two NBA Jam-style tournament? Who would your top five player tandems be?
Presented with a tournament-style bracket containing each NBA team’s two best players, Curry made his selections. He quickly advanced himself and his backcourt partner Klay Thompson to a finals matchup with LeBron James and Kevin Love. With just a touch of bias influencing his decision, Curry selected the Golden State tandem to win the NBA Jam-style tournament. LeBron may have a slightly different opinion, especially after the recent comment Stephen Curry made on the Dan Patrick Show last week about being a better offensive player than LBJ.
After Steph crowned himself and Klay the champions of the fictional tournament, I took it upon myself to compile a list of Golden State Warrior tandems from days gone by that would give the current Warriors backcourt duo a run for their money.
Here are the top five Golden State Warriors duos capable of dominating in a two-on-two NBA Jam tournament.
