The San Antonio Spurs will be among six squads to open the 2014-15 NBA regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Visiting San Antonio that day will be none other than the Spurs’ biggest rivals the Dallas Mavericks tipping off a TNT doubleheader.

New-look Dallas looks a lot different than the 2014 NBA playoff team to have stretched San Antonio to seven games during the opening round. Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis are a few of the Mavs returning.

Meanwhile Tyson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Richard Jefferson, Jameer Nelson and Chandler Parsons add even more star quality to Dallas who no longer has DeJuan Blair, Vince Carter and Samuel Dalembert.

Three days after hosting the Mavericks, the Spurs visit a very talented and young Phoenix Suns squad, led by Goran Dragic.
