The Los Angeles Clippers saw their season come to an end at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder in six games last year, and it was filled with drama due to the Donald Sterling situation. There is no doubt that the drama of the Sterling situation sidetracked the Clippers down the stretch of the season, but they simply ran into a better team when they faced the Thunder. Los Angeles is looking to come back strong next season, but they did lose some very important pieces in free agency this offseason.

Darren Collison was a big piece off the bench for them last season, and stepped in as the starting point guard when Chris Paul went down with injury. He also started alongside of Paul at times, and was a very nice scoring punch for the Clippers. Unfortunately, the Sacramento Kings offered him a deal that he couldn’t refuse. The Clippers also lost Danny Granger to the Miami Heat in free agency, which takes away another veteran player who was capable of shooting the ball and scoring on some nights.

It’s obvious that the Clippers are still one of the more talented teams in the Western Conference, and they signed both Jordan Farmar and Spencer Hawes this offseason. They have the potential to compete with teams like the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, but they will once again be the underdogs when they face those two teams. With teams like the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets in the conference as well, the Clippers are going to have to play strong from start to finish to be a top-five team again.

What five bold predictions can be made about the 2014-15 Los Angeles Clippers?
