Afflalo is one of those rare players that has improved his points per game each year in the league and his improved mid-range game is a big reason why. He shot just 33.3 percent from 10-to-16 feet in 2008-09, but has since made that a major strength, shooting 50.9 percent last season.

Arron shot a respectable 42 percent from 16 feet out to the 3-point line and was excellent from the 3-point line — making 42.7 percent of his attempts.

Now that he’s in Denver, he’ll hope to be the recipient of many open looks, with Ty Lawson dragging the defense into the paint, only to kick it out to Afflalo on the perimeter.
